Hello! My name is Megs, and I'm the flour-covered apron behind rooted + ready. What started as a passion of cooking delicious food for family and friends has blossomed into something larger than I could have imagined, and I couldn't be happier to share my recipes with our community!

My love of food began when I was a little girl standing next to my mother as she prepared meals for our family. I always loved getting to be involved in making meals. Now, as a mother myself, I find myself constantly striving to find new meals and treats to bring to my own dinner table! My family loves the dinners I prepare, but nothing makes my husband and sons happier than fresh-baked goodies. 

I have a lifelong love for bringing people joy through foods I put my time and effort into preparing. Nothing makes me happier than spending time in my kitchen, breaking a tiny sweat, and maybe shedding a couple of tears, perfecting a recipe to then have the recipient absolutely love it. 

I am starting rooted + ready out of my own kitchen with the plan to move to a brick-and-mortar location in the future.
